We successfully wrapped up the third year of our summer camp for HAE patient families with children & teenagers. The annual event, which took place from 31st July to 3rd August 2022 in the Vysočina region, was highly appreciated by the attendees coming from all over the Czech Republic.
The rich program consisted of educational, sports and creative activities. It included expert lectures, internal meetings, as well as individual consultations and various workshops. Participating parents particularly welcomed presentations on important topics such as clinical trials, new international guidelines for HAE treatment, genetic testing options for families of HAE patients or seminars on patient advocacy. The juniors were also educated in how human immunity works.
One of the highlights was the debate with our ambassador and influencer Anežka Dašková, and the interactive workshop "Patient stories: why they are important and how to create them".

An exciting part for HAE juniors was the 3rd edition of our multidisciplinary HAEro Games, in which they engaged in several activities focused on sport, personal development and creativity. The children also drew and painted new pictures for the upcoming HAE Junior art exhibition. All the participating juniors thus received their 2022 HAEro Cups and awards.
HAE Junior educational family summer camp wouldn’t have happened without the support of many individual donors and partners, including ČEZ Foundation, Lekarna.cz, Pharming, Kalvista Pharmaceuticals, Plasmapheresis Association, CSL Behring, etc. Additionally, HAE juniors received gifts from partner organizations Amber Plasma and DOBRO.
