Online submissions open until December 12, 2026

On the occasion of International Children's Day, we are launching a new international call for  artwork on the theme "Stronger than HAE through Sports." This theme builds upon the motto of our patient organization for 2026. Together, we want to create a collection of artworks from the HAE community that demonstrates the role sports, physical activity, and active lifestyles can play in the daily experiences of people living with HAE. 

Own Vision Board and Other Artwork Pieces 

This call for creative submissions is an opportunity for participants to express their own perspective on what it means to be stronger than HAE through sports. It can reflect personal experiences with movement despite HAE, a favorite sport, a dream, motivation, the joy of overcoming obstacles, or a vision of a fulfilling life in motion.

The call is open to all HAE patients and their family members, even to those who may not feel confident in their artistic or creative skills, who still wish to participate. It is not about perfection, but about a personal story, an idea, and the courage to express one's experience. For anyone unsure of how to put their thoughts on paper, a simple step-by-step guide is available for creating a vision board.

Not only HAE juniors, but all HAE patients and family members who want to share their personal vision of a life stronger than HAE through sports are welcome to join. 

Artworks Traveling the World 

More experienced or confident artists can, of course, jump straight into creating their own artwork. And those who already have a suitable piece of art ready are kindly requested to use the form below and make a submission. 

We would like to include submitted creations in future HAE Junior awareness projects and other activities aimed at raising awareness of hereditary angioedema. This may include exhibitions, calendars, informational materials, website and social media posts, or presentations at patient and professional events.

The ultimate goal is to give a voice and space to the HAE community itself and to show the public, experts, and partners that behind the diagnosis of HAE are real people, their stories, dreams, courage, and creativity.

Thank you for your interest in participating in the art exhibition on the theme "Stronger than HAE through Sports"! Please fill out the required information and upload your original artwork in JPEG or PNG format and in high resolution (min. 600 dpi). Please submit your artwork electronically using the form below no later than December 12, 2026.
